Dilan Rajapakse

Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Bank of Maldives

Mr Dilan Rajapakse possesses more than 29 years of experience at Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC (CBC) in various roles at Branches, Head Office Departments and Overseas Operations.

He was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of CBC – Bangladesh Operations in 2009 and served there for a term of 7 years. While in Bangladesh, he attended the US-Bangladesh Bilateral Counter Terrorism Financing Banking Dialogue in New York which was jointly organized by the US State Department and US Department of Justice, Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit while this program was hosted by Federal Reserve Bank.

He was appointed as the Managing Director/CEO on 01st May 2016 to take the leadership in setting up the operations including preparing policy documents of Commercial Bank of Maldives Pvt Ltd prior to its opening and the Bank started its operations on 26th September 2016.

He holds Diplomas awarded by Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (Associate of Institute Bankers – Sri Lanka) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and completed the Director Certification Program on Board Leadership conducted by Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (Associate of Sri Lanka Institute of Directors).
